NannyPay assumes that household employees are paid on a cash basis, the fiscal year beginning on January 1st. As state and federal tax law changes, Essentia Software updates NannyPay's tax tables on an annual basis (or sometimes more frequently) to incorporate those changes. Therefore, to insure the accuracy of your payroll calculations and reporting, the date of your payroll transactions must match the version of NannyPay, which you are using. For example, if you are using NannyPay 2009, you may only calculate payroll transactions dated "2009." If you wish to calculate payroll transactions dated 2009 or 2010, you must use NannyPay 2009 or NannyPay 2010. NannyPay will not permit you to calculate transactions, which do not match the release year of the software. Likewise, you will need to use NannyPay 2011 to open your 2011 payroll data file, NannyPay 2012 to open your 2012 payroll data file, etc.
