Updated. Michigan tax tables. Effective Oct. 1, 2007, through Dec. 31, 2007, the income tax withholding rate increases to 4.35 percent, up from 3.9 percent. The personal exemption amount remains at $3,400 for the period from Oct. 1, 2007, through Dec. 31, 2007.
