This is an Essentia Software Corporation web site. Because we wish to demonstrate our commitment to our users' privacy, we have agreed to disclose our privacy polices. Information Use

Downloading our products. As a condition for downloading products from our Web Sites, we request our customers to provide specific but limited information, including name, e-mail address, zip code and information about how the customer found us and what kind of employee the customer employs. This information is used for statistical and marketing purposes. We do not share personally identifiable information collected before downloading with other organizations or third-parties for commercial purposes. Essentia Software Corporation, or its consultants, may from time to time contact customers who have downloaded our products with information about new products, product updates, and services, special offers, or for our own marketing activities. We may also use the information we collect to improve the content of our Web Sites.

Purchasing our products. Kagi is Essentia Software Corporation's e-commerce partner. All sales of our products are made through the Kagi online store. Use of personal information collected by Kagi is governed by Kagi's privacy policy, which may be viewed at http://www.kagi.com/orders/privacypolicy.html. All questions about Kagi's privacy policy should be directed to mgr@kagi.com. After a customer completes a purchase at the Kagi web site, Kagi communicates to us the customer's name and address, and product purchase information. Kagi does not communicate any information to Essentia Software Corporation about the customer's credit card, credit card account or other credit information. Other information provided to ESC by Kagi may be used for tracking affiliate sales and for statistical and marketing purposes.

Our Web Sites. A "cookie" is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Essentia Software Corporation's Web Sites do not presently employ "cookie" technology, although certain Affiliates of Essentia Software Corporation may use cookie technology for purposes of tracking purchases of our products. An Essentia Software Corporation Affiliate is a third-party, which earns a commission for promoting our products online. If you visited an Essentia Software Corporation Web Site by clicking on a link or banner advertisement placed on an Affiliate's web site, please consult with the Affiliate about its privacy policy.

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files to collect aggregate information. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Communications from Us

If you supply us or Kagi with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings from Essentia Software Corporation with information on new products or services, product updates and or other promotions.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this Privacy Policy Statement. If our privacy practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web Sites to notify you. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should periodically check our Web Sites' Privacy Policy Statement.

Sharing

We may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

Essentia Software Corporation DOES NOT share personally identifiable information with third parties other than Essentia Software Corporation consultants.

Surveys

From time-to-time Essentia Software Corporation may request information from customers via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the customer, therefore, has a choice whether or not to disclose the requested information. Survey information may be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of our Web Sites and marketing of Essentia Software Corporation products. Customers' personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties other than Essentia Software Corporation consultants unless we give prior notice and choice. Though we may use an intermediary to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not use users' personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service or technical support representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our privacy policy.
